Sales Tax Terms and Conditions

Effective Date: 6/1/2025
Last Updated: 6/6/2025

Thank you for choosing Bevy. As a US Corporation, Bevy is required to collect sales tax in certain states. The determination is based on a number of aspects (activity in the state, sales earned in that state and whether the state collects a tax for Software as a Service and related products).

1. Applicability of Sales Tax

Sales tax may be applied to your invoice depending on the tax laws and regulations in your billing location. These taxes are assessed in accordance with:

    • State and local tax laws in the United States

    • Sales tax nexus regulations that require us to collect tax in jurisdictions where we have a legal obligation to do so

    • Digital goods and services tax policies, which may differ by state or locality

Sales tax will be added to invoices whose billing address is in the following 10 states* at the respective listed rates (the exact rate will be determined based on zip code):

    • Arizona (8%)
    • Illinois (6.25% - 10.25%)
    • Massachusetts (6.25%)
    • Minnesota  (6.875% – 9.875%)
    • New York (4% – 8.875%)
    • Ohio (5.75% – 8%)
    • Pennsylvania (6% – 8%)
    • Texas (6.375% – 8.25%)
    • Utah (4.7% – 8.7%)
    • Washington (5.6% – 11.2%)

2. How Sales Tax is Calculated

Sales tax is calculated as a percentage of the total amount of your purchase, including any applicable fees. The rate depends on your state and local jurisdiction. For example:

    • Some states apply sales tax to digital subscriptions

    • Others may exempt software delivered electronically

    • In certain locations, city or district-level taxes may also apply

We rely on third-party tax compliance tools to ensure accurate and up-to-date rate calculations.

3. Exemption Certificates

If you are a tax-exempt organization or otherwise eligible for a sales tax exemption, you must provide a valid and verifiable exemption certificate before completing your purchase. To submit your exemption documentation, please contact your Bevy Account Executive, Customer Success Manager, or our support team at help.bevy.com.

Note: We cannot refund sales tax after a purchase is completed unless the exemption was documented beforehand.

4. International Orders

If you are purchasing from outside the United States, sales tax may not apply. However, value-added tax (VAT) or other regional taxes may be levied based on your country’s regulations. It is your responsibility to comply with local tax obligations.

5. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Sales Tax Terms and Conditions at any time. When we do, we will revise the “Last Updated” date above. We encourage you to review this page periodically to stay informed.
